Perch is a native macOS menu bar app for developers running several AI coding agents at once.
If you have three or four Claude Code or Codex sessions going across different terminals and projects, you lose time hunting for the one that's blocked. Perch puts all of them in your menu bar: which are working, which are waiting on you, and which are idle — with anything that needs you floated to the top.
What it does
- Every session at a glance — running, waiting on you, idle, done. Subagents nest under their parent.
- What each agent is doing right now — the live command, its task checklist, model, context usage and cost.
- Answer agents without switching windows — when an agent asks permission to run a command, the notification carries Allow / Deny. Ignore it and your terminal prompts as usual; Perch never acts on its own.
- Your limits — Claude's 5-hour and 7-day usage, with reset timers.
- Jump to the terminal — click a session to bring its window to the front.
- An iPhone companion — mirrors the fleet and alerts you when an agent needs you, so you can step away from your Mac.
Privacy
Your sessions stay on your machine. Perch reads Claude Code's own local state; there is no telemetry and no tracking of any kind.
